about
*SORRY, I WAS DUMB TO NOT CHECK IF THE FILE I UPLOADED HERE DID NOT PITCH SHIFT MY VOICE DOWN. I FIXED IT NOW, THOUGH.*
I wrote this song awhile back, but I just got around to remixing it and re-recording the bass (which this bassline is the funnest thing I wrote, btw.) In a nutshell, the song is about unrequited affection and the yearning I had to belong to someone who does not feel the same way I did. Well, now she knows everything, and it's something we can both look back upon without any bitterness.
lyrics
How could I've known that I would fall for you?
I did, but hey that's nothing new.
I've seen this happen in my past,
To want someone that I can't have.
I'm sure you've seen this a thousand times,
And all you heard were only lies.
But I see so much in you,
Can you see what's in me too?
Please, if you can let me be
The things you want and the things you need, I'll let these
Walls of mine come falling down
You'll never know the things that I won't say.
I would, but I'm just too afraid
To let my guard back down again,
And find out how this would end.
I confess that when I see your face,
My heart beats in and out of place.
I never knew what butterflies were,
And these hands could shake the Earth.
Please, if you can let me be
The things you want and the things you need, I'll let these
Walls of mine come falling down
Falling through the dark to find light
And the grace within your eyes.
Paint me black and blue from the inside.
I can't tell you, even if I tried.
Falling through the dark to find light
And the grace within your eyes.
Paint me black and blue from the inside.
I can't tell you, even if I tried.
