Anima is the second acoustic track on this EP. Instead of writing another upbeat acoustic song, I thought'd be interesting to juxtapose and write a slower and more dolores song. With all the creative freedom I had with the writing of this song, I decided to pick a more unconventional key for this song (it's G# minor in Standard Tuning, by the way), and have a metre modulation between the verses and choruses to give it a more tense feeling. The guitar solo was actually supposed to be a third verse, but I couldn't figure out anything to say. I literally added in the solo last minute and improvised it while recording.
With the whole juxtaposition this song already had, I wanted to contrast even more by making this song a love song. It's a love song, simple as that.
